Jan Sabro was born in Oslo (Norway) in 1948. He studied at the Oslo art school (Statene Kunst & Handverkskole).
After 15 years he decided to move to Italy as a designer of chairs and furniture. He resides in Manzano (Udine), the world chair capital where he works and collaborates with the major companies in the area.
His designs and projects are sold all over the world and he has won numerous awards, including the “Top Ten” at the Udine International Chair Exhibition.
